here at maplebrook, we have a mentor/mentee program. basically, the upper class men are paired with a lower class men that they are to look after. you are automatically listed in this activity when you enroll in the school, so have fun! mentor and mentee responsibility and pairs which are chosen at random are below.
mentor responsibilities
1 ) show mentees around the school. this means give them one formal tour. proceed to show them which classes to go to.
2 ) check your mentees grades once a month and if they're less than satisfying, discuss ways to get them up.
3 ) confront mentee about current 'gossip' and 'rumors' being spread about them or by them.
4 ) set a good example.
5 ) spend half an hour with your mentee every monday, wednesday, and friday during your advisory period.
6 ) respect mentees and be kind.
mentee responsibilities
1 ) listen and be respectful. your mentor isn't here for their health.
2 ) be mature and try your hardest to excel in your school work and be a model citizen outside of the classroom.
3 ) the last friday of every month, bring in a grade report from each class. this means you must collect your grades sometime within the week leading up to said friday.
4 ) be honest and keep at least a 2.0 gpa.
5 ) spend half an hour with your mentor every monday, wednesday, and friday during your advisory period as well as at least one to two hours after school every week.
